Economical Plywood Counter-tops for Ikea Cabinet Set
A fun project for some clients who needed economical counter-tops for the Ikea cabinets they had just finished installing.
The birch plywood counters nosed with Douglas fir and finished with live-edge Douglas Fir splashboards and kickboards contrasted beautifully with white cabinets. The counter-tops and wood details were all finished with German made Osmo eco-finish which is made from a blend of non-toxic natural oils and waxes, is super easy to apply and provides high durability with no future peeling or flaking, requiring only occasional, simple, re-coating.
